The Witchcraft Persecution: Why Most Things You Think You Know Are Wrong

Dr Wanda Wyporska, author and expert, debunks many of the myths of the ‘Burning Times’. She will examine the various theories about why so many were executed for witchcraft between 1450-1800, regional differences, and how the crime of witchcraft changed over the period. Using criminal cases, poetry, letters, and contemporary literature, she will open up the many representations of the witch so that you can make up your own mind.
