The Society of Genealogists has a huge collection of information that is invaluable for family historians. Join Else Churchill, the SoG genealogist, as she gives us an overview of what we hold in the SoG Library. Discover what is available, both online and at the new premises, and crucially, how to access it!
We will cover the physical and digital collections and the various ways of pinpointing our holdings via the online catalogues. We’ll be looking through what is newly discoverable and what we’ll be able to see in the future.
Else Churchill is the Genealogist at the Society of Genealogists in London. Formerly a professional genealogical librarian and researcher, Else has worked for the SoG since 1994. She is the Society’s subject lead, working across the organisation and runs the publishing programme. She was the recipient of the IHGS Julian Bickersteth Memorial Medal in 2023 for her exemplary contribution to family history studies.
